About Us

Buda Juniors is an English-language, multi-national football club in Budapest, Hungary for children aged 4 to 16 years old. Run by Janos Banfi, a former Hungarian national team captain with 14 years experience of playing professional football and qualified with the UEFA coaching license, we play at Csilleberc in the Buda hills of the 12th district.

Because training sessions are conducted in English, this also helps members improve their language skills in a fun and fruitful environment. To ensure that all members understand instructions, our coaches place extra emphasis on the visual elements in the training to accommodate all nationalities.

Club History

Buda Juniors International Football Club was formed in September 2001 by János Bánfi a former international football player with 14 years experience including 25 appearances with the Hungarian national team, 8 of those times as captain.

He saw the need for a multi-national, multi-lingual football club in Budapest, catering for children – and he has been proved right. In its first year Buda Juniors received over 140 registrations from members from all over the world and we now have members from 34 countries!

The club is going from strength to strength and is a thriving and happy place where children enjoy their football and improve their performances every week.
