Match Day 02.02.2014

2000/01  / 02.02.2014 /:

DECISISON AFTER THE MATCH DAY: Because of the weather, one of the teams could not turn up, so this match day was not included in the competition...so even that we were playing the games thinking that these matches are part of the Winter Cup, we only can treat these games as friendlies!

A stunning display by the Buda Juniors team which dominated the entire match day.

The guys started in some fashion winning 7-1 in the opening game with all(!) the outfield players on the scoresheet. It was a joy to watch how fluent the team play worked and after the next group game it was clear that on this day, the guys are not stop: with a 5-2 victory against Tát, Buda Juniors topped the group setting up a semi-final clash with Pomáz. It was an exciting game of football, against a good team but it was a well-deserved 3-1 win. It was the first real test for Artúr in goals but the Buda Juniors keeper came to rescue when needed. The final against surprise outfit Tát was all about our guys. It was one way football thanks to a very mature performance by the players. Bence (3), Kotaro (2), George and Erik were all on the scoresheet. With the final result of 7-1 the team won the match day in record breaking style winning all 4 games scoring 22 and conceiding 5 along the way.

2004 / 3rd Match Day /02.02.2014 /:

Due to the weather conditions – two teams had to cancel – it was a special match day for our 2004 born players. The guys played 3 matches with not too much success. In the first two games the guys looked nervous and lacked any coherence on the pitch. In the third game, (against a very good Pilisvörösvár team) the team showed good spirit but it wasn’t enough. The outstanding player of the day was Felix who pulled off some incredible saves and was a colossus between the posts. All in all a disappointing day for the Buda Juniors team. The guys can do much better then this!

Match Day 01.02.2014

2003/2 Play Off 1-5  / 01.02.2014 /:

1st Match 

Buda Juniors FC - Pilisvörösvár 3-3 Goals: Niels, Cedric, Matus

Probably the best start ever in Buda Juniors history. We were quickly 2-0 up, with a stunning performance. Quick precise forward play and solid defense came  surprise to Pilisvörösvár, leaving them standing... Of course they showed that why they are in the top haly of the play off. We made a few mistakes (some of our players thought they won the game already) and withing 6 minutes Pilisvörösvár took the lead. Matus settled the 3-3 draw after a great individual action...

2nd Match

Szent Pál AFC - Buda Juniors FC 5-2 Goals: Niels, Matus

We came up against probably the best team of the Winter Cup, but lead by Niels and Matus we were equal for more than half of the game keeping the result 2-2. We played a very confident game, fast actions and full of enthusiasm. Szent Pál used their momentary phisycall advantage and scored 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of the match. 

3rd Match 

Buda Juniors FC - Pomázi Focisuli SE 1  4-1 Goals: Matus, Yussef 2, Niels

Continuing as we left off... Absolutely stunning performance. Team play: spot on! Defence: spot on! Passing/ball posession:spot on! Goals: perfectly executed finishes! Was brilliant to witnessed it all!

4th Match

Buda Juniors FC - MAC MFS 3-1 Goals: Matus 3

Bit tired, but just kept going.. Lead by Matus with his hattrick, we closed a beautiful they with another graet match. All together as a team and as individuals, our boys showed that all the work pays off, and only can imagine what they coudl/can come up with if they continue the work etc. like they do... well done Matus, Vanya, Niels, Yussef, Alexander, Jake, Cedric.. very well done...

Report:

We started the  match day (Play Off 6-10) excellent, and collected 4 points in the first two games. The team worked well together and left no doubt that we deserved the 3-1 and the 1-1, but... The 3rd and 4th match were something else. The team fallen apart. Gave away goals easily and had no intention to fight back, let alone go near to the opponents goal. Plenty to walk away over all with... much to work for!

Our guys competing in the ’Blue’ group ended the last qualifying round with 2 wins 1 draw and 1 loss. Some great moments of football and a compact team performance. Due to Vanya out for the day Jake and Yosi did their bit in goal as well. Matus was not to stop in front of goal while Alex, Cedric and Yussef all put in great performances. It was Yussef who scored the decider in the last game against MAC with a cracking right foot shot into the far corner. And what an important goal that proved to be: the 13 points mean that the quys have qualified for the playoffs and are within the top 5 of the 2013/14 Winter Cup season! But trust me, there is still more to come…

Our team competing in the ’Red’ group started nervously and the guys played below their own standard. No doubt though about the next 3 games: a last minute loss against Szent Pál in a thrilling game showed that the guys are capable of producing some mature and class performances. And thankfully the efforts started to reap the reward. Up next were Pilisvörösvár, the team that convincingly qualified for the playoffs winning all their games scoring 39 goals on the way. Their only draw came against a Buda Juniors team that played with heart and soul in a game that finished 2-2. The onwards trend didn’ stop as the guys cruised past Pomázi Focisuli winning 2-1 in a match were they dominated. The guys can be really proud of themselves and will continue their campaign in the 2nd playoff group.

Like our 2004s, the 2005s started the year not exactly how we expected. The first two matches were disappointing. Not much of a football, as we could not hold onto the ball, no passing and team work. We reacted very slow and gave away goals what should not. Looking and the first match day where we played the final, today could not recognize our players. The last game was a big change and our boys showed that yes, the footballers are still around...

Match Day 18.01.2014

2000/01 Second Match Day  / 18.01.2014/:

1st Group Match

Buda Juniors FC - Tát SE 5-1 Goals:Erik,Bence,Emil,Egon,Marci

The 2nd match day of the 2000/01 age group saw Buda Juniors finish in 2nd place. Usually the first game is the most difficult but the guys made it clear that there is no need to worry this time. After 10 minutes we were 3-0 up thanks to goals from Erik, Bence and Emil. A brave Tát team was unable to cope with the intensity of the Buda Juniors team and the chances just kept coming. Both Egon and Marci got themselves on the scoresheet while Tát managed to pull one back. A fair 5-1 result expressed the dominance.

2nd Group Match

Buda Juniors FC - Szent Pál AFC 3-1 Goals: Erik,Bence,Egon

In the second group game the guys showed an even more mature performance: Erik opened the scoring with a stunning strike after Bence’s corner. First the provider then the scorer himself, Bence made it 2-0 with a simple tap in after Marci broke free down the left and delivered a wonderful cross. Szent Pál fought hard and Artúr in goals had to be alert a couple of times. Before Szent Pál could get back in the game Egon made it 3-0. Szent Pál got their well deserved goal after a defensive slip up but all in all there was no doubt it was a deserved win.

Semi Final

Buda Juniors FC - Pomázi Focisuli SE 2-0 Goals: Valentin, Marci

The two wins meant Buda Juniors topped group „B” and met Pomáz in the semi-final. A solid 2-0 win for our guys in a balanced game of football that saw not many chances in either halves. Valentin scored first after Marci’s second quality assist of the day then Bence found the back of the net from close range. An important victory that put us through to the final.

FINAL

Piliscsaba SE - Buda Juniors FC 3-1 Goals: Bence

In the final Piliscsaba deservedly won 3-1 in a match that could have gone either way. Tha guys simply did not make enough of the chances in front of goal and were cought on the break twice. This game will be remembered for the effort the two teams put in, the quality of football – thanks to the tiring road to the final – was not as high as it could have been.

Great day of football! All our players deserve the praise starting from Artúr in goals Marci and Erik both solid in defence George, Egon and Valentin pulling all the strings in midfield while Bence and Emil did the work up front. First match day we ended 3rd. Second match day 2nd. If the pattern continues then the 3rd match day…well guys’... football will do the talking.   

2003/2 First Match Day  / 18.01.2014 /:

1st Match

Buda Juniors FC 2- Gödi MFS 2-2 Goals:Thomas, Nils

The first match against Göd was a very interesting one since although the opposing team dominated our guys went 2-0 up after Thomas and Nils scored. In a game that looked like a certain win Göd fought back to make it 2-2 in the last minutes.

2nd Match

Pilisvörösvár - Buda Juniors FC 2 7-3 Goals: Thomas 2, Krzysztof

3rd Match

Szent Pál AFC - Buda Juniors FC 2 5-0 Goals:

The second and third game are not the ones we want to remember too much. A 3-7 loss against a very good Pilisvörösvár side and a 0-5 loss to Szent Pál. The guys looked nervous and found it hard to get back in the game after falling behind but there is a lot to learn from these experiances...

4th Match

Buda juniors FC - Pomázi Focisuli SE 4-0 Goals: Krzysztof 2, Vincent,Thomas

... good teams know how to bounce back after two losses! And the guys did it in some style! A 4-0 victory against Pomáz with Krzistof (2), Vincent and Thomas all on the scoresheet after some entertaining football. Our team was full of debutants and even so finished with 4 points from 4 games. All in all it was a great experiance for our guys and we are looking forward to see even more from them!

Not the best start of the new year! All of our players played well under what they can - and show the first match day - leaving Piliscsaba with the 6th place. Nothing worked, even that we had chances enough to be atleast equal with the other teams. Both Group matches we took the lead and started up good, but could not hold on the ball enough and gave too much space to the other teams. The last game exactly the same poor performance... Lot to work on and hoping for bettter...

2000/01 First Match Day  / 14.12.2013/:

1st Group Match

Buda Juniors FC - Piliscsaba SE 0-2  Goals:

A typical sleepy start as we lacked a cutting edge to finish off some decent football. This would turn out to be the theme of the day as we dominated possession but werent clinical in front of goal. Artur was good on his Winter Cup debut but couldnt stop the breakaway goals.

2nd Group Match

Buda Juniors FC - Csillaghegy    2.0      Goals: Bence, Valentin

This time the buys showed they wanted to fight to get through to the semi final but in doing so lost their composure a little and the quality of football dropped. Bence finally opened the scoring after missing several chances before Valentin grabbed the second after playing a clever 1-2 with Egon.

Semi Final

Buda Juniors FC - Szent Pal      1:2      Goals: Valentin

Despite dominating possession from start to finish we were again poor in front of goal. 2 errors gave them a 2 goal start and although we fought to the final whistle, Valentins goal proved nothing more than a consolation effort.

3rd Place Match

Buda Juniors FC - Pomaz           2:2      (pen 2:0)    Goals: Egon, Bence

In an entertaining 3rd place playoff both teams had an abundance of chances but a draw was probably a fair result. Egon opened his account with a close range finish and Bence grabbed an equalizer with a left foot free kick leaving us with a penalty shootout. Pomaz blasted home their first as did Egon. Their second went high over the bar and Bence responded by bursting the net. Artur and his Dudek moves were un-nerving the opposition and the finals Pomaz penalty struck the post handing us an opening day 3rd place but surely with much better to come!

We have entered two teams in 2003 age group. ( Buda Juniors FC 1 & Buda Juniors FC 2 )

Unfortunately Buda Juniors FC 2 could not play in the afternoon, the match day postponed to 18th January 2014.

1st Match

Buda Juniors FC 1 - Csillaghegyi MFS Score: 0-5

Surprisingly poor start against a team who didn’t play better football than us. We woke up around half way into the match, but easily given away goals made the result worse than it should be.

2nd Match

Pomázi Focisuli SE 1 - Buda Juniors FC 1 Score: 2-1 Goals: Alex

Missing the goal 4-5 times and only score once. Our players hold on the ball very good, but dominating in ball possession didn’t meant to find the way to Pomaz net. Good team play, but lost in front of the goal...

3rd Match 

Buda Juniors FC 1 - FC Esztergom Score: 1-0 Goals: Matus

Chances after chances again, but still without scoring. Matus was facing the keeper twice before he finally put the ball in the net. With a little bit of luck we could hold on to the 1-0 advantage, and win this one, which by the way was well deserved…

4th Match

Buda Juniors FC 1 - MAC MFS Score: 1-0 Goals: Alex

Final match of our first match day. Our team continued to play good led by Niels put up a performance which was impressive not just because of the result and play, but how they all fought for every inches and for the ball. After a very tough day we completed some good games and proudly can say that our team played good football in every matches! Well done guys!

This year`s Winter Cup kicked off with the 2005 age group starting their campaign. And the boys started in some fashion! The Buda Juniors team cruised past the group stage with two wins with goals from Arthur, Drew (one of the debutants), Soren and Raphael. After the convincing first part more was to come from the guys! In the semi-finals it was Luis`s turn to shine, who scored twice in a 2-0 win to secure a place in the final. The team was yet to concede a goal thanks to the sensational display by Felix during the whole match day.

The final didn`t go our way and lost 3-0 but finished the day in second place to the delight of the very vocal and enthusiastic Buda Juniors fans!

After the convincing performance of the younger guys, next up were the 2004 kids. The team got off to a slow start drawing the first match 1-1 in an evenly contested game with our goal coming from Kristof.The second match however was a different story with the Buda Juniors team dominating the match creating chance after chance. 20 minutes filled with good combinations and sometimes spectacular football! Niels opened the scoring and then both Jan Witfeld and Pruzinec found the back of the net, latter after a beautiful assist by the only debutant of the day Filippo. Our 2004 boys made it to the Semi Finals too and after a very tough 20 minutes we just missed the final loosing against Hegyvidék UFC with penalties. Our last match was no different from the previous ones as our players did all their best. Unfortunately two goals were given to Pilisvörösvár. Even so we stood up and tried our very best to come back into the match. Finished with 2-4, but went home with a smile...
