It was the first matchday for the 2003 age group. Seeing the guys in training we expected a lot from the boys. And they did not disappoint. Very attractive football sometimes but there is still a much work ahead. Every player did his part and it was good to see that Buda Juniors looked like a TEAM.
From Patrick’s stability at the back to Matus’ work upfront it was a good performance including Yussef, Shunpei, Kiko, Krzysztof, Cedric and Alex. The last game was a good lesson for the boys but at the end that is the point! To learn and improve! All in all, well done guys!

Our 2004s were to start the weekend on Saturday morning. Three narrow losses but it was a pretty good performance by the guys! With Tomek out for the day Filippo, Felix and Robi did their bits in goal. No doubt the guys played much better than in the first match day. The intensity was there and some great moments of football. The highlight was Vanya’s solo goal who looked very dangerous throughout the 3 matches. But it wasn’t only Vanya’s mazy running, Otto, Miklos, Filippo, Felix and Kristof all worked hard for the TEAM. Well done boys, keep up the good work!

Overall a very good performance by the 2004s. They lost the first game 4-2, they drew the second 1-1, and won the last match with a convincing 4-2.
They displayed great enthusiasm and with certain players on the pitch the intensity/enthusiasm increased even more.
They still need to focus more on certain plays such as corners. They must be aware of where the man is and when the ball is travelling. They also need to know that when it comes to marking, the defender has to be between him and the goal – goal side!
In addition, the overall movement has to improve. This comes specifically without the ball… BALL WATCHING. At times there were 2 players behind the defenders and nobody reacted.
Communication improved as the day progressed, but it could be even better.
Patryk Stefanski |
Very active and very good on the ball. Showed great enthusiasm and played very well. He started off as a defender, but was much better as a striker. |
Otto Leigh-Wood |
Great performance by Otto. Played simple and managed to score twice this afternoon. |
Felix van Craen |
One of the best of the team. Played a game in goals and was superb. The other games he was always active and defended very well. His energy encouraged the team to increase the intensity within the game. |
Vanya Kudriavtcev |
Not the best performances by Vanya. His best match was when he played in goals helping the team win 4-2. At times he dribbled too much and lacked the aggressiveness he shows in trainings. |
Bendeguz Bacso |
Nervous start to Bendeguz. He played the first game in goals and quite frankly that will never be his position. As an outfield player it took him some time to get going but managed to link up with his teammates at the end. |
Kristof Weiblen |
His best position was at the back because of his size and strength. When he played on the right he was always threatening with his strong shot. |
Adam Mizda |
Amazing performance by Adam. Compared to his previous performance with the 2005s, he was unrecognizable. He was the most active player on the pitch running non-stop. His energy was fantastic and his decision making even better. He was very quick on the break and after the play was over he was already back defending. At times he even played as the last man. |
