1st Match Day - 02.12.2018

Buda Juniors – Csillaghegyi MFS 0:1

Buda Juniors – Szent Pál Akadémia 2:2

Buda Juniors – Marczibányi MFS 2:2

Buda Juniors – Pomáz 2:3

As you would expect, an afternoon of great energy, enthusiasm and spirit!

During the first match, despite the loss with a goal in the final minutes by a former Buda Juniors player, there was great attitude by our youngsters. They were great fun to watch and implemented everything learnt in training.

The second match showed great fight. From 0-2 and 5 minutes to go, Albert pulled one back with a great finish and then it was Andras with a sublime goal to draw the game 2-2 and send  the parent’s section into an uproar while he gave us a Dybala/Griezmann-esque celebration.

The third match was a bit slower after a long break, but Vlad with a great bottom corner finish and Oli E with a stunning freekick made sure we shared the spoils.

During the final match, again there was great attitude and spirit. Despite being down 0-3, they continued to play the game as you should... fighting for the ball and enjoying every minute on the pitch. The match and afternoon ended with a high with a “goal of the tournament” by Oli E. He pushed the ball past the defender that missed the slide tackle by millimetres. He then launched himself forward while pressured from behind and pushed the ball in front with only the keeper to beat. The goalkeeper came out and Oli E calmly went past him and as the ball headed towards the baseline he finished with a delightful shot finding the side netting. He ran down celebrating like had had score the winner and his teammates soon joined the celebration... the matcg ended 1-3. Nevertheless, a fantastic way to finish the afternoon!

2nd Match Day - 13.01.2019

Buda Juniors – Csillaghegyi MFS 1:1

Buda Juniors – Szent Pál Akadémia 0:3

Buda Juniors – Marczibányi MFS 0:2

Buda Juniors – Pomáz 0:1

Our youngest players are always filled with fun!

The first match was back and forth action. Great attitude always kept them in the game and a late Oli E strike made sure we got a share of the spoils. The second match was a bit disorganised and hectic. Positioning and high pressure from the other team limited our performance. The 0-3 was a wake up call that concentration levels need to be at their highest during those 20 mins.

During the third match it took a few minutes to get the engine running. Even 0-2 down they kept fighting but with no prize. Great attitude again showing that no loss will wipe the smile off their faces. The final match couldn’t reward our young warriors with a goal as they fell again in a hard fought battle. Regardless of the results, they went home with a smile knowing they gave it their all... and that’s what it’s all about.

3rd Match Day - 27.01.2019

Buda Juniors – Csillaghegyi MFS 1:5

Buda Juniors – Szent Pál Akadémia 2:6

Buda Juniors – Marczibányi MFS 0:1

Buda Juniors – Pomáz 0:3

Always happy to see our youngest playing! No matter the outcome they smile and enjoy every minute of it.

The first game saw us against a familiar foe. It was an even match, but in quick succession a former BJ player punished us on every occasion (1-5 L). Oli E scored our only goal with a great solo run and a sudden cut back to set up a right foot strike to the near post.

The second match was up and down. Two great goals by Albert and Andris highlighted our best moments, however a few defensive mishaps cost us the game 2-6.

The third match was well fought out. Very intense match! There was only a single mistake from a corner that cost us the game that should’ve ended in a draw.

The final match was due or die!!! Empty the tank!!! Go for it!!! The players were there but the goals didn’t show up. They finished with a smile on their face and I’ll take that result every time.
